Out Of The House: July

Summer’s here and our client account managers have been busy with installs, taking new design briefs and meeting the housebuilding media. Our wider team has grown too, and it was perfect timing to welcome new appointments at our annual summer social! Read on for our latest Out of the (Show) House activities…

We started the month in the village of Kirk Ella, on the edge of Hull, where Megan Doherty handed over a stylish, Scandi inspired showhome for new client, Beal Homes. Featuring an earthy colour palette, natural woods, curved accessories and botanical prints, this showhome effortlessly combines trend-led design with sustainable living.

In Dore, South Yorkshire, Steve Hird was pleased to join Prestigious Build Services for the launch of the White House, a bespoke development of nine apartments. Feedback on our show apartment was so positive that it inspired an immediate reservation for one of the penthouses and a request for further interior design consultation!

If you want to know Megan Doherty’s favourite design trend, her ideal perfect home or where in the world she would love to live, then check out the Q&A interview Meg did for the latest issue of Showhome! These quick-fire questions present a short, snappy intro to different people working in housebuilding, thanks to the team for inviting Meg!

In the capital, Steve Hird and Megan Doherty were joined by our PR Consultant, Natalie Keene to meet the team from the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards. We’re proud to be a sponsor this year and were down in London to recce the venue and see how we can add design flair to the drinks reception, including aligning with this year’s (top secret!) theme.

Back at our Redditch HQ, we’ve completed a successful interview process and have welcomed a new designer. Jess Winchester has settled in smoothly, bringing great energy and fresh ideas to our talented and ever-growing design team. We’re also pleased to introduce Michelle Stanley, our new sales co-ordinator. Michelle will be supporting our client account team so expect to see her name pop up soon!

It was perfect timing that these new recruits joined ahead of our annual summer social, so we were able to officially welcome them by heading into Birmingham for craft beers and pizzas at The Barrel Store, a fab venue nestled in the city’s historic railway arches.

We’re always on the look out for new talent, especially designers and stylists, so keep an eye on our socials for the latest vacancies or drop HR your CV at hr@edwardthomasinteriors.com.
