It’s been a strong start to January for our client account team as they’ve completed new pitches, handed over schemes for new clients, encouraged the next generation of interior designers, made charity donations and undertaken road trips. Plus Meg’s back! Read on for our Out of the (Show) House activities…
January started with Sam Jones delivering our team’s reverse advent donations to our local B30 Foodbank. Throughout December, we collected essential food, drink and supplies, and our neighbours at B30 will package these donations to provide emergency three-day food parcels to those in crisis.
A familiar face made a welcome return as Megan Doherty rejoined the team following her maternity leave. Meg’s spent the month reconnecting with clients and colleagues, and for those she hasn’t yet managed to see, watch out for an invitation to catch-up very soon!
Steve Hird was pleased to handover our first scheme for new client, Retirement Villages. The show apartment at Botanical Place in West Byfleet, Surrey has now opened its doors and with its elegant, botanical-inspired design featuring some of this year’s trending colours and shapes is certainly striking.
In South Derbyshire, Sam Jones partnered with Vistry East Anglia to encourage young interior designers. At the housebuilder’s Kings Newton development in Grantham, pupils from a local school were invited to create artwork to be displayed in the showhome we designed. In the child’s bedroom framed pictures of the children’s drawings are wall-mounted, with each one showing different ideas for room layouts, wall treatments, furniture and décor!
Steve Hird joined longstanding client, McCarthy Stone for a South East road trip. Together with Chad Goldsmith, Steve visited five developments in and around Kent to plan the next series of upgrades and refurbishments.
Steve then joined Sam Jones; our PR consultant, Natalie Keene; and First Time Buyer magazine’s editor, Lynda Clark in London to plan our support for National Home Buying Week, which takes place next month.
Finally, the move to our new office in Redditch takes place soon so it’s all hands-on deck to ensure this goes smoothly. Stay tuned for more updates on this!
