November was another packed month for our client account team as they’ve been on the road supporting showhome launches, undertaking research, supporting charity collections and attending awards! Read on for our ‘Out of the (Show) House’ activities…
In Oxfordshire, Sam Jones joined longstanding client, Platform Housing for the launch of their show home at The Falcons. As well as celebrating a successful opening weekend, Sam also filmed a walkthrough video to discuss our design for the show home, which has a modern country aesthetic including beautiful botanical prints and a characterful RAF themed children’s bedroom to reference the nearby RAF Brize Norton.
We were pleased to support Barratt Redrow’s Road to A Million Gala Dinner in Northamptonshire. Steve Hird, Andy Richardson, Sam Jones, Rebecca Jones and Estelle Palmer hosted a table at the black tie event, which fundraised for The King’s Trust via an auction. Our donation of a luxury home hamper was one of the prizes!
The following day, Andy Richardson, Steve Hird, Megan Doherty, Estelle Palmer and Sam Jones travelled to London for the annual What House? Awards, recognised as the ‘Oscars of the housebuilding industry’. The team joined some 1,300 housebuilding professionals the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane for the event, which was compered by actor, James Nesbitt. Congratulations to our award-winning clients Redrow, McCarthy Stone, Taylor Wimpey and Greencore Homes.
To keep up to date with current trends, Sam Jones joined our design and styling teams on research trips to Gallery Direct, Bridge Art and Coach House. Together the team drew inspiration on new furniture, lighting, accessories and wall art for 2025!
The whole office, led by our operation buyer and account admin, Angela Hooper has begun its annual reverse advent tradition. Instead of opening a window on a calendar, we’ve set up a donation station in our office to collect essentials for our local foodbank to make parcels this winter. Last year’s collection amassed 30kg worth of food for our neighbours at the B30 foodbank so we’re hoping to beat that this year!
And finally, last month we promised some exciting news on the future for Edward Thomas Interiors…. Well, drumroll please, as we have bought a new building! In the New Year, we’ll be moving to a new premises in Redditch. At 3.5 times the size of our current office, this means we’ll be able to bring all our divisions under one roof, from designers and stylists through to warehousing and logistics. We’re currently making some modifications to the building to better suit our working patterns, so watch out for pics and more moving details on our socials very soon!
